Thanks for the response on both the #4600 and the EB cars. I don't think that I ever saw either style car in my railfan days on the Q. Maybe I wasn't paying attention! I was more interested in locomotives back then.

Here is an on-line photo of the GN's 949 Semi-streamlined coach used on the Empire Builder. These were built in 1937 and used on the Empire Builder until replaced by the streamlined consist in 1947.
