According to Bill Glick's "Burlington Passenger Car Roster," both 4600 and 4601 met their maker at Northwestern Steel & Wire in Sterling, IL. in February, 1967.  Therefore they didn't make it to BN.

Did the 4600 survive to become a BN outfit car? Does it survive today or has it been scrapped?

Ugly, perhaps, but a very cool car and a very rare view.
