Years ago Athearn painted some F-7's red & dark gray. They looked like a bad dream. Granted their usual silver w/freight strip was always incorrect but Tyco did it too. They both could have used a very light grey instead of silver and I don't know why they weren't challenged to do it correct back then. Somebody had painted up some Mantua Baldwin Sharknoses in Q freight colors at the Little Q swap back in the mid-sixties! I would agree that the cab should continue the grey and stripes. On the other hand, might the Athearn Chinese Red scheme been applied to the F units? It wasn't all that bad for a what might have been! When I get back to my computer (I'm in Pigeon Forge TN) I will post a "real" bogus Q engine that Hol Wagner filled me in on Best regards Charlie Vlk Sent from my iPhone
