Probably these resources have been digitalized for quite some time, but I had not found them until tonight.
 
If you put Railway Officials Of America in the google search box, it returns thousands of results.  But we are probably only interested in the first page plus the top line on the second page.
 
These are railroad reference books giving biographical information on railroad officers dating back into the 1800s.
 
Once you get into a book, you can then search by Great Northern, Milwaukee, or Burlington.
 
Over a period of time, it is interesting to see where certain officials go from position to position, climbing the ladder along the way.
