Thanks Lindsey.   It seems to me into the first years of BNSF, SP/UP trains utilizing Chicago-KC trackage rights sometimes continued to use the ex-CB&Q, but 
probably those have entirely been on the ex-AT&SF for some years.

I lived in Macomb for a year in the late '80's.  At that point, there were close to 20 trains per day on the Galesburg-W. Quincy segment, probably splitting
about 60/40% in favor of KC at W. Quincy.

Yes it does Fred. The WQ line still runs a train or two to KC and visa versa daily via the "new" alignment which turns southwest on the West side of Brookfield and heads to KC.

The Galesburg to West Quincy line seems to run a substantial number of trains from time to time, but as all single track lines, there are nulls in traffic..from what I have seen.
