Paul and Rich,

I would suspect that you could start with the BLMA Models N Scale Seachlight Signal heads whenever it's finally released.

You'd need to mount them on some sort of mast on the bridge, but that should be obtainable.

Regards

James

Paul,

I missed that you were in N gauge.  The NJ model is a really close model for the Q signal bridge.  I know several HO modelers who are using them and they look quite realistic.  They should look great in N Scale, as well.  You're on your own for the signals in N scale, though!

I just passed by Buda this weekend on a charter trip from Chicago to KC that I took on the Cedar Rapids Skytop Lounge.  Here is a link to the car:

Granted, it's not the Q, but it is a magnificent car.  Strangely enough, due to a derailment at Keewanee, we ended up going out on the old Santa Fe main to Galesburg (Southwest Chief) and back on the Q main.  A great time and what a way to travel by train.  The trip was run by Mike Abernethy, who is trying to raise money to restore the Silver View TCZ dome-observation car.  Several people commented on the car moving to Charles City a few weeks ago to continue restoration.

Rich,

many thanks.  I have looked at the site and they do it in N gauge.

If you are looking for the signal bridge, here is the best representation of the signal bridge for the Q:

I scratchbuilt mine before these were available.  I used signals from Oregon Rail Supply, but there are other ones for the Q available from several diifferent manufacturers.  I'm sure someone on the list will recommend a close match.

Thank you to all you that have helped me in my attempt to model Buda.

The layout is well on the way to completion. However, I would like some advice on the signal gantries.

Is the 2-Track B&O Signal Bridge from http://www.traincat2.com/
the most appropriate starting point and what sort of signal heads should I be looking for.

Thank you in advance for all your help.

Paul Evans (from the U.K.)
