Actually, 47-48 to and from St. louis just connected with the Twin Cities-Chicago 47-48 at Savana. The passengers had to change trains. On 51-52 the sleeper went through between St Louis and theTwin Cities in both directions. From: Dave Lotz <Dave_Lotz@bellsouth.net> To: CBQ@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, December 15, 2011 10:04 AM Subject: RE: [CBQ] train number question Duncan,
According to the March-April 1949 passenger timetable, the Burlington-Carthage-Quincy
trains were Nos. 109 & 110.
This was a daily except Sunday motorcar run. Trains 47 & 48 that John mentioned went all the way from
St. Louis to Minneapolis (via Beardstown, Galesburg, Rock Island, Savanna &
St. Paul). The only Burlington to
St. Louis trains were on the Iowa/Missouri side.

a motorcar) that run between Burlington and St. Louis on the Illinois-side of
the Mississippi?
