Jonathan,

You are correct. I used these decals for Pullman cars and individual lettering
for "Burlington", which as you say, is a pain.

Scott -

The sets you mention are fine for Pullmans or for hand lettering cars, but
Champ is (was) the only company to produce decals for "Burlington" in Railroad
Roman extended lettering, so their shutting down is a significant loss.

I'd imagine there are enough CB&Q modelers to underwrite a custom decal
project, if someone wants to take it on. Our Mike in Cheyenne is having a set
specially done for his car 57 model in HO, and over on the Denver South Park
and Pacific list (later, the Colorado & Southern narrow gauge) someone else has
just done a set for DSP&P passenger cars. So it's not that hard, if somebody's
got the time and chops to do the artwork - and if there's enough of a demand.
You'd think there would be; there's gotta be more Q modelers than South Park
narrow gaugers. Yeah, they'll cost something, but your time is worth something
too, and hand lettering "Burlington" on both sides of a half dozen cars is a
pretty unhappy prospect.

So is there interest?
jonathan
