Thanks for sharing with the Lines West info (am VERY anxious to see a BRHS meet
in Cody or Billings; Deadwood was such a great one!)

Your observations (& my earlier post re: 'Murphy" near East Cabin [E. Dubuque]}
reminds us that once a "Station" was no longer listed as such in a Public TT,
that did not mean it did not remain a 'named' point on ETT's for various
purposes such as sidings, etc.

Hi Gerald:

On your first list, Marietta, S.D. was a siding in 1977, now it's the West end
of double track, but still called Marietta.

On your second list, there is no sign of Dakoming, Wyo., even when it was
single track, but it was supposed to be just West of the State line. As I noted
before, Kara, Wyo. was still there until recently. Spencer, Wyo. was a siding
and backtrack until they "extended" the West end of Owens siding in the early
'80's, then it was the West end of Owens. They only took the siding sign down
at Jerome, Wyo. a year or so ago, it's now a spur track off Main 2.

Mike
