230083 was a 8000 gallon class TM-3A, part of 230000-230106 that had their
heating coils removed and were renumbered in about 1938,
ex class TM-3 (150000-150106) .
231580 was a 12000 gallon TM-4A, part of 231500-231599 that was renumbered from
150500-150564 (class TM-4) also in about 1938. These
cars retained their heating coils whilst others in the class lost their heating
coils and were renumbered to 230500-230599.
The BRHS published a data sheet on the TM-3's, and I think an ex-FW&D car is in
the museum at Green Bay.
