The 2 Q tank cars you listed (230083 & 231580 sold to C&S in "51) per their #'s, had been in Q MoW service. There were a LOT of different styles of old tank cars in MoW service (potable water, fuel, etc) so you almost need a pic to know the configuration as capy as we know is a poor predictor of dimensions. These cars could have dated to the 20's since they were put in MoW service at the end of their service life. "New' tank cars went to company fuel service with a limited # in revenue service.
