Fellow Q fans - there have more than enough responses to justify a nice article in the Zephyr or part of a Bulletin on Q mixed trains. Using the responses as a start (what equipment was used on which line, time frames, etc) and a few photos along with stories such as Archie's and "Presto!" - an article! Now who is willing to take the current postings, inquire for more, get some photos, etc. Bulletins & Zephyrs do not come from thin air; they need input from you & me (& yes I'm working on 2 articles plus my recurring column on Burlington collectibles). So what say you?! (I'd supply pics I have inside & out of waycar #14560 I once owned; 1 of 6 rebuilt in "59 for branch service. In this case the Edgemont-Lead/Deadwood line. Also excerpts from timetables, ANY year, as to which branches advertised 'mixed' service) The article could also include listing of commercial models of equipment used in branch/mixed service as well as some pics of scratch-built models by mbrs including some great ones Bernie Corbin had.
