As a former IT guy (Information Technology, not Illinois Terminal),
one of my favorite pieces of Q memorabilia is a red 3-ring binder
issues by the Q that says "DATA CONTROL" on the spine and "Burlington
Management Information Service" on the front with the Burlington Route
logo. It was published by the Burlington "Management Information
Service" group and is "Instructions for the Reporting of Waybill and
Car Movement Information". Information about how to put waybill and
car movement info into the new IBM 360 system!

It also contains lots of goodies like examples of other railroads'
waybills, etc. and how to put the information from those documents
into the computer system.

only assembler programs could be stored.   I know that my Fortran
programs were a lot more than 750 bytes in the early 1970s (I believe
a Byte is 8 bits) and 1 byte is required per character for the basic
ASCII set (no lower case).

to keep a Fortran program stored on it in 1972 and there were a lot
larger programs stored thereon.  I believe it had disk drives.

However, as my program was always available to me, it had to have been
stored on a disk drive.
