Can't store a lot with only 750 bytes of storage. I think that only assembler
programs could be stored. I know that my Fortran programs were a lot more
than 750 bytes in the early 1970s (I believe a Byte is 8 bits) and 1 byte is
required per character for the basic ASCII set (no lower case).
Are we sure we are not just talking about memory rather than storage?
I know that the computer I used to use based at the University of Colorado in
Boulder, a CDC 6400, had more storage than that. I used to keep a Fortran
program stored on it in 1972 and there were a lot larger programs stored
thereon. I believe it had disk drives.
And, of course, magnetic tape was used a lot in those times. However, as my
program was always available to me, it had to have been stored on a disk drive.

The talk of computers made me think of some recent reading...
During the mid 1970s the RI made a big deal about getting two new computers
with a massive storage amount of 750 bytes each.
Hard to image that being a big deal as I run Pro/Engineer while streaming
satellite radio over the net on a laptop...
