The Milw kept a switch eng at Rochelle as well as at least two on the Q. The
Milw ran a pair of freights which often met between Steward Jct and Flag
Center. These ran from Ladd to Beloit(I think) some times the meet was on the
Flag Center to Rockford Branch.
For Interchange ideas check out the Copeland Interchange chart reprinted by

Dear Folks:

BUMP!!

OK. So I will take your stunned silence about this topic as indicating that my
track plan is so outstanding it defies comment. NOT!

Alternatively, y'all were so absorbed watching the Giants take-down the Pats on
Sunday that you entirely forgot you were going to respond to it! Could be?

Or, how about if I ask some specific questions and you can fill in some details
for me?

Thanks in advance!

1. Did the CBQ and CGW inter-change freight at Galena Jct during the late 50's
or early 60's? If so, what types of freight, and in what volume?

2. How much what types of freight did the CBQ and the CMSt.P&P exchange at
Savanna during that time period?

3. For my N-Scale layout at Savanna, I have eliminated the freight yard, but
tried to retain the interchange trackage in about the correct juxtaposition (I
hope). What could I do differently that would improve the interchange at
Savanna?

4. What kinds of industries would've been served in Oregon during the
50't-early-60' s? Is it fair to put a small yard south of the mains in Oregon?
Any industries there?

5. Anyone got any photos of Oregon town or structures during that period they
could share or point me to?

6. What industries (if any) were there on the Rockford branch north of Flag
Center during the 50's-early-60' s? Grain elevators, cattle loading?

7. How frequently did CBQ & CN&W interchange traffic at Rochelle? What types of
traffic and volumes were there? Also, how frequently did CN&W run trains over
the Rochelle to Rockford lines? What were the compositions & sizes of those
trains? I am being to ambitious to worry about this?
