East Winona was a passenger stop, just across the Missippi river from
Winona. Passengers were bussed across on the highway bridge from the
CB&Q depot in downtown Winona.

I don't know if the GB&W crossing had the same name and tower control.
>From the GB&W crossing the line west across the river into Winona was
shared ownership, under the name "Winona Bridge Railway." I believe it
was 2/3 CB&Q, 1/3 GB&W. There also was a CNW crossing adjacent to East
Winona. The railbed and remnants of the bridge still exist.

East Winona. East Winona is in Wisconsin right along the Mississippi
River not too far north of LaCrosse. East Winona would have protected
the Q crossing with the GB&W, but after crossing the bridge, I show CGW
ownership, so that puts me at kind of a loss. Perhaps someone with more
knowledge of the area, can fill in the blanks
