I do not know the answer, but the first place I would try is the Denver Public
Library Western photo collection. I do know they have a photo of a steam
operated shovel in the mine, and I'm sure they have some of the cars you are

Both the C&S and the CB&Q shipped haematite (an iron ore) from the Sunrise
Mine in Wyoming to the Minnequa Steel works south of Pueblo, Colorado.
What type(s) of cars was the ore shipped in? Ie which class/ series?
My modelling (in HO) period is 1951.
Can any one, please, direct me to some close up photos of these cars?
