As I recall from earlier discussion, the Walthers car is not even close
to a Q diner. I decided not to get one from what I have read on this
list. You could search through the message archive. If you use DA as
part of your search string I believe you will find the info you are
looking for as far as accuracy of the model.

Subject: [CBQ] Walthers Standard Pullman Built Diner
I see from the latest Walthers sales catalog that they have their
"Pullman-Built Heavyweight 36-Seat Diner" lettered for CB&Q on sale for
half price. Seems like a great deal if the car is an accurate model of
a CB&Q car. Obviously, accurate is a subjective term, but what does
anyone know of the similarity of this model to any CB&Q cars? I have a
couple of the Branchline Pullman cars that do have Q prototypes, but
none of the Walthers heavyweight cars, which past discussions within
this group have indicated are not quite up to the quality of the
Branchline cars (among other things, I believe the Walthers windows were
said to be quite thick). If anyone has both makes of cars, how do they
compare, and is the paint color compatible or do they look odd sitting
side by side?
Thanks,
Scott Myers
