On the K-line, heavyweight cars quite frequently showed up not only on the
Zephyr Rocket (usually baggage) but also on the daily St. Louis - Burlington
local (coach & baggage). The latter used to be the old Mark Twain Zephyr.
We're talking from mid-1950s until passenger service stopped on the K-line
(mid-late 1960s). Occasionally a steam-boiler equipped GP9 or similar pulled
the daily, and sometimes a steam-boiler-equipped frieght locomotive even pulled
the Zephyr Rocket!

Cheers!
