One sure way to avoid this is to download the eBay Toolbar. The Toolbar
is designed to let you know that you are at a counterfeit site. I
learned about this from the eBay marketing group a couple weeks ago and
I can assure you that it works really well. The toolbar also does a
bunch of other really cool things if you are a regular eBayer.

I received an email from what appeared to be eBay's message service. A
supposed eBay member asking me if I had sold him an item. When I went
to reply that I had not, I got a screen asking me for verification by
providing a credit card number. BIG RED FLAG!
Don't anyone fall for this one.
