I picked up the first 3 pack of Branchline RTR 21-1 Pullmans the other day at
Al's in Elmhurst. I found them to be as expected really fine detailed HW
Pullmans. Great paint, windows, ect. AND the roll very well indeed. The one
minor
problem is in the coupler swing. At the rear of the coupler pockets there's a
plastic strip on each side to center the coupler pocket. This doesn't allow
for enough free swing of the coupler pocket, I just removed the trucks and cut
the strips off.
For those of you wishing to run these fine models on your layout with shorter
curves you will have to do this for the car to run well. I had trouble on the
club layout with 48" curves. For the first time we have a plastic Pullman car
that matches most brass models at a fraction of the cost. Hat's off to
Branchline!
