The book you want is A Guide to Chicago's Train Stations by Ira J. Bach and
Susan Wolfson. ISBN 0-8040-0869-8. The copy I have has a printing date of
1986 and was published by the Ohio University Press Swallow Press.
It gives a pretty comprehensive coverage of stations in the Chicago area
within the commuter service districts. Not all stations are show (for
example Lawndale on the Burlington or the original Riverside station) but it
does show the majority of them.
