I think the original Budd built "Burlington" was placed in service in 1952...I'm at work and can't access my Burlington Bulletin on the subject.

The car survives today as the BNSF Mississippi River...the only Q office car still with the railroad.

But when was the origianl business car put into service?
I fear not in the 40s.
