You know, I think I remember hearing about this
incident on the news. Back in those simpler times, an
event like this would make the newspapers and radio
newscasts. I grew up in Albia, on the Q, but I got to
know the Rock Island between Chariton (west of Albia)
and Kansas City VERY well due to my frequent trips on
that line.
You have added much to my knowledge also, Pete.
