Of course, the coal business got rid of the no-bill
car problem with unit trains and long term sales
contracts. The "spot market" coal gets stored in silos
and other coal storage devices not in railroad cars as
years ago. No-bill can also mean non-union employees.
And it can be applied to a worthless person. We still
have a few of those around!

By the way, the leased track system was used with some
degree of success with the coal traffic. Oh for the
good old days of the WW&IB! Read BB#35 for more on
no-bill in coal traffic.
