The only F units painted alumimum were F-3's
#9960ABC-9963ABC. The other F's were not equipped for
passenger service, although a few did have steam
"conduit" installed (not steam generators), so that
they could be used in trailing position behind steam
generator equipped units. One such use was during the
1960 Boy Scout Jamboree at Colorado Springs. Those
special trains used all sorts of strange lash ups! The
"passenger" F's were repainted into the freight scheme
after they were regeared.
