Actually, it is being shipped to the publisher today, April 5, 2002.
There was a lag between the time it was advertised and when it was ready to
be sent to the printer. When it went to the printer, there was a schedule
issue, and that is why it is so late.
The cover used in the advertisements was a mock up as the cover painting
wasn't ready when the advert was printed. By the time Motorbooks got their
ad ready, the painting was finished.
There's always a silly explanation.
I'm supposed to receive a copy in the mail today or Monday (when I'll be in
western Massachusetts, which means I won't see it until Thursday.)
Anyway, it's on the move.
