HELP !! I am trying to finish Vol4 and get to the printer next week. I
can use some help (any help) with the following:
1. #4960 was in Rock Island IL on 4-13-63 with a fan trip. Consist
included 2 heavyweight coaches behind the tender and a string of Gallery
cars. Can anyone tell me where this trip ran from and where it was
headed?? I can find nothing that references this trip. The photo I have
shows the train running along the Miss. river with Davenport on the other
bank.
2. Another #4960 trip. The train is westbound at Elmwood on 6-20-64.
Where was the train coming from?? Peoria?? I am asuming that the train
was bound for Galesburg (?) Again, nothing i have discusses a trip at
this date. The consist includes the former C&S tender, a power car and
then Gallery cars.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mike
