Guys, Savanna,IL in the 70's was no great shakes. The Milw. yard was all
there but about 1/4 was stored b/o 40 ft boxes,gons,etc.The icing house and
platform were still there but unused.The rdhse was in use but outside were
parked many dead F units and FM's.A large portion of the Milw yard was just
mty and unused.
Now on the Q(bn) side that was another matter w/all the traffic that the
merger had routed over the C&I! The place was hopping and often full.
