I have seen a photo of Silver Rapids after being lettered for Penn Central 
and although it might be dirt on the roof it does appear that the sleeper has 
a black roof. The Pennsy used Silver Rapids in Florida Service with the ACL 
and SAL which both railroad painted roofs black, on thing I never really 
understood why in the south would you paint roofs black.
