One (maybe final) question about these cars. In the RMC article previously
referred to, the photos show cars with the skirting removed except over the
battery boxes (which is how the sides from Brass Car Sides appear). None of
these cars are CRIP ones though. My one picture of the CRIP car in Mike Spoor's
book doesn't give enough of a side-on view to tell if any of the skirting
remains or not. Does anyone know if the CRIP followed the practice of leaving
the battery box covers on these cars as the UP and ATSF seem to have? If they
did, I may have to forget the Eastern Car Works kit since the underbody detail
(and therefore the battery box doors in the skirting) don't match the prototype.
