Thanks to everyone that posted replies about the cab signals that the Q used on the C&I and the East End. Should have figured that the Q would take the "frugal" route. As to the speeds east of Aurora, was just talking to a former engineer over the weekend that mentioned that he did have a commuter train over 90. But a lowly ball point pen clip kept the Barco at 65. While the speed recorder never caught fire, one of the E's main generators flashed over, and they finished the trip into Aurora on the other engine. Ed Pavlovic |
