I'd paint them using a simulated stainless steel color. After trying several model paints that left a granular appearance, I started using Krylon Flat Aluminum on all my SSS cars. The result will be

I have been told Pendulum Cars did not ride well with other equipment either lwt. or hwt. thats why it was connected to one particular gas-electric .   Painted to match the car.   AT&SF and GN also e
