Did anyone ever use the GHQ n scale parts for converting a Kato 2-8-2 to a Southern Railway locomotive to make a Q O-4? Looks like it could be done, but would need an additional flat smokebox front (

I believe there used to be a GHQ (or maybe some other manufacturer) kit to convert the coal tender to oil burning type. I am looking for the kit on Ebay myself from time to time but have not found on

I don't own any of these myself. I think the best way to model a B4R in N scale might be to just make another boiler. The running gear is pretty close, however. Valve gear hanger is different also. B
