Silver Rapids carried the Burlington and CZ equipment's full skirting into Penn Central. I have a photo of the car in PC and the skirting is still in place. Silver Rapids went into Amtrak.If the skir

The PRR did use the car post-1957 with roof cement (not paint) that made it appear as though painted black. It had the road name where the train name was, retained the car name (as by happy coinciden

I remember reading that's why they came up with the name Silver Rapids, Silver for the Burlington/CZ and Rapids for the Pennsy's 10-6's. And I forgot to mention that both versions of Silver Rapids is
