If my memory is correct the Burlington,IA bridge controls are in the bridge tenders building in the center of the bridge on the lift portion. Ottawa and La Salle,IL were similarly arranged. Stopping

The neat part about the Burlington Bridge is the channel takes a dog leg thru the bridge. So larger tows often need a helper tug to get thru. Course then you get the skipper who knows everything and

Steve, The Burlington Depot is owned by the city and is used a the amtrak station, but if the happens probably not after 2010, and local city bus station. It has been partially restored with new roof
