This area was referred to as the Lumber District with service provided out of Western Ave Yard.  This area still sees rail traffic with service provided by the Central Illinois Railroad on leased BNS

Actually the ramp to Sangamon starts at 16th and Morgan. 15th ST is on the North side of the North Western, former B&O and 16th ST is on the South side of the Q. There is also a connection to the CJ
