- Just received my first cars and boy are they fantastic. Does anyone know how the cars were painted by BWL in order to get the color they achieved? I would like to duplicate their process for some oth

- RayThe cars are plated with nickel. You will have a hard time duplicating the finish at home as the process is done in an industrial setting and not available in bottles. Alclad is the best process f

- The BLI CZ cars are plated. With the ownership letter boards on the car ends, this makes the cars other than the 6-5 Pullmans, makes the cars un prototype for any other of the Burlington Budd cars. T

- During the recent open house I put one of the BLI 10-6's into my 1956 Denver Zephyr which is made up from Shoreham Shops cars. The only differnce that really stood out was Silver Butte had lighting..
