I not sure about all of it but I will give my silly answer. At Denver you would not see many/any FW&D Steam locos. Most of the time Steam power would have been pulled off and switch to C&S at Texline

Lines West (west of Pacific Junction, Iowa) is where there were a lot, if not the majority of the oil-burners. Denver, KC, Omaha, Wyoming, were the home turfs of the oil burning O classes and S class

I would agree with your assessments except for KC. Most if not all of Q's operations in KC were handled by coal burning locomotives, both north as well as eastbound. Other RRs into KC (remember there
