- "X" denotes that it is privately owned. These cars are not subject to per diem hourly rates when offline. I know of only one exception - the Peoria & Pekin Union Railway has a small number of gondola

- Car initials ending in X means that that car is non railroad owned...ie privately owned. UTLX (Union Tank Car), PFEX (Pacific Fruit Express) SRLX (Swift Refrigerator Lines), TTX (Trailer Train). Here
