The grays on all the schemes were indeed different. The first pic the gray is faded. The second one is color shifted and is not accurate. Look at the pics in the books and you will see the difference

Folks just remember one thing when relying on color slides and prints shot in the 1950's and early 60's for color reference, films do show colors differently. Each color film has it's own color chara
