I believe that there is at least one ex-CB&Q 44 tonner in Laurinburg, NC. I do not know if the unit is in operation. The unit would be painted in the Laurinburg & Southern red and white paint scheme.

Guys, Sorry about the dubious information regard the Laurinburg & Southern (North Carolina) GE 70 tonner. The only ex-CB&Q engine on the roster appears to be ex- CB&Q NW2 #9221. Tom Hall
