April 1940, replaced by the Lincoln-Omaha-Kansas City Silver Streak Zephyr on April 15, after which the 9900 briefly replaced the Mark Twain Zephyr on the daily St. Louis-Kansas City round-trip of Alton-Burlington trains 29-30, concluding its service in-and-out of Kansas City on April 30.

I'm trying to find out how long the Pioneer Zephyr went into KC.  I've seen pictures of the PZ at Kansas City Union Station but I don't know how late the train went into KC before its 1960 retirement.  I'm most interested in 1957, but I'm willing to fudge a little on timing since I think it would be cool to have the PZ on my layout going into KCUS.
