They are not the 232000 series, but 231000 series built 1918 by Standard Steel Car Company. The historical information inserted into the kits says these cars were in both diesel oil and lube oil service.

 

Were the 231000 series tank cars still in service in the late 1960's? They would be 50 years old by then. But since they were in company service and not being interchanged, could they have still been transporting diesel from Standard Oil in Rochelle to company fuel terminals?
