Thread-topic: [CBQ] Peruque, Missouri car capacity

Steve and Leo

Thanks for the explanations. I’ve seen no indication that there were any industries (or an elevator, for example) at Peruque other than the brick industry but the dearth of information means that anything was possible. There is, for example, a large gap between the 1905 and 1939 maps which show the tracks at this point. Hopefully someone will have an early ETT.

The hunt continues!

Rupert

I would suggest that the siding was for operations, meeting and passing trains with the "Other Tracks" the brick yard.  The brick yard might store a couple cars while it was loading.  Due to weight of bricks might need more than one car for some contracts.

Rupert,

Hannibal Division Employee Timetable 65 effective November 11, 1934, shows Peruque had a 100 car siding and 24 car Other Track capacity. (My only Hannibal division timetable)
