Well, I guess I got the car type wrong! But I think the same applies to open hoppers.

In my opinion, the 60s and 70s modelers really focus on larger covered hoppers and longer/bigger boxcars. While the 2 bay, non centerflow, covered hoppers were certainly very common place, they just don’t capture the imagination except for those
getting very specific on operations.
I have quite of few CB&Q 2 bays and just a couple FW&D, all in various schemes, I am not sure how many more I might need.
That said, maybe the marketing focus should be towards BN (I recently changed from 1967 CB&Q to 1972 BN), ATSF (joint line operations), DRGW or UP even though I do not know to what extent C&S hoppers would show up.

This may be taken several different ways, but I assure you I am simply searching for information. Earlier this year the Amarillo Railroad Museum produced a Broadway Limited C&S HT-10C hopper, the same as the Q Connection CB&Q HT-10 cars (same price too). The models are accurate and carry the correct paint scheme. What is worrisome is that to date we have sold 1 out of 240. We have had great response in the past for our Ft W & D custom cars and assumed a C&S offering would be welcome. We’ve done our usual advertising and selling outlets (our website and eBay). So we haven’t cut back on exposure. I know summer is usually slow for orders, but we usually get a few before interest picks up in the fall. I’d like to get thoughts about interest in the C&S. Maybe this was the wrong railroad to choose. Is there a problem perceived with the models? Considering we are doing the same publicity, is there something we are missing with these cars? Again, this is not a rant or a plea, but I am trying to figure out what is going on. Thanks, Jerry Michels www.amarillorailmuseum.com https://www.ebay.com/itm/235459929941 _._,_._,_
