No, I checked Bulletin 13 and couldn’t find any reference to 500. The only references I found were in Zephyr 57 when it was going to Granite City in 2007 and Bulletin 50 notes that it was added to the Pioneer Zephyr in 1938.

This car is the 500 car built for the Pioneer Zephyr and swapped into other three-car Zephyr sets as needed.  If I remember correctly, BB13 has more detailed info on it.

I can give you a more accurate answer later, but the 500 was given the name while in the ownership of John C. Lowe and two other individuals who formed the Mark Twain Corporation, which was headed by Mr. Ronald Lorenzini. They took ownership late in 1987.
