This car is the 500 car built for the Pioneer Zephyr and swapped into other three-car Zephyr sets as needed.  If I remember correctly, BB13 has more detailed info on it.

I can give you a more accurate answer later, but the 500 was given the name while in the ownership of John C. Lowe and two other individuals who formed the Mark Twain Corporation, which was headed by Mr. Ronald Lorenzini. They took ownership late in 1987.

Does anyone know when dinette-chair car #500 (ex-Pioneer Zephyr) was renamed Effie Dean. Was it when the Mark Twain Zephyr went to Wisconsin Great Northern?
