Here's is a photo I took when it was at Aurora in May 1969 for the 100 Anniversary special.
Wouldn't the RR insurance agents have a cow if this was allowed to happen in 2021!

While I never saw No. 35 under steam except at the Chicago RR Fair, it was on display at a number of events in the late 1950s and 1960s in the Chicago suburban territory. It was a frequent display at the LaGrange pet parade that usually occurred
in June. It was also display for several fan trips at Aurora. I believe in between displays, it was stored at Aurora. Prior to the late 1950s, it was placed on display across the system as far west as Denver. . Sometimes ti main rods were in place and at other
times, they were not. If you are a BRHS member, there are a number of photos of the locomotive on display in the members only Flickr gallery. Prior to being backdated for the Century of Progress World’s Fair in 1933, the locomotive was numbered 359 and had
carried several other road numbers prior to that. There were at least two other 4-4-0s that were backdated and used for display in the first half of the 20th century. One was no. 440, photo attached, and no. 446.
