Thanks Dave!
I currently have an ABBA set of Stewart’s   Run great. Have DCC & sound in the A units B units are dummies.  As far as how close to the prototype goes (paint color accuracy and details) would you in your opinion feel they’re the best bang for the buck since I already have them!   I have Proto 1K ABBBA too. Never out of the box except to test. Run quit well DC.  All powered too!  But I think they only have a single headlight and I don’t really want to mess with putting in a second one

Thanks!

You didn’t say anything about accuracy to the prototype.

BLI has refurbs of their latest F3 offering for $240 (https://www.broadway-limited.com/4820emdf3abatsf18l18awarbonnetschemeparagon3sounddcdccho-1.aspx - you will need to select them from the list).  Trainworld has them new for $285 (https://www.trainworld.com/manufacturers/broadway-limited/broadway-limited-4821-emd-f3-a-unpowered-b-cb-q-116-a-116-b-w-sound-dcc/ ).

Intermountain and Walthers (Proto2000) both offered versions in the past, but you’ll probably have to resort to finding them on places like eBay.

The old Stewart/Bowser sets are still around too, but you’ll probably need to equip them for DCC / sound on your own.

HTH!
